I’m privileged to share with you that Grace Martial Arts Tampa won First Place in the 2009 Karate For Christ / Asia Reach Ministries Kick-A-Thon! I received the award notification this afternoon and wanted to share it with you right away. Karate For Christ and Asia Reach Ministries sent us a 1st Place Certificate and Plaque that I’ll bring to class Monday night to show you. I’ll also have individual awards to share with several of our students:
Kenny Fernandez won the Second Place Participant Nationwide award! Way to go Kenny! You were second in the entire United States for an individual raising money for the Kick-A-Thon.
Ben Hunter won the Third Place Participant Nationwide award! Way to go Ben! You were third in the entire United States for an individual raising money for the Kick-A-Thon.
KFCI and ARM also sent special Support Team Member certificates and KFCI / ARM Mission Support Team patches for Cameron Bertron, Dan Capobianco, Joshua Edgar, Nathaniel Edgar, Kenny Fernandez, Ben Hunter, Austin Mecsko, Taylor Mecsko, and Lauren Oken for their level of participation in last year’s Kick-A-Thon. I’ll also hand out those certificates and patches Monday evening.
I am so proud of all of you! Thank you for your hard work every year on the Kick-a-Thon. Grace Martial Arts Tampa has consistently won either First or Second place since we became involved with the Kick-A-Thon in 2007 and you are the reason.
I’ve been involved with Karate For Christ since 1972 and know many of the missionaries now serving KFCI and ARM in Asia. Our purpose is simple: to give the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the countries and cultures that gave us martial arts. We praise God for all He’s doing in Asia and around the world through Christian martial arts programs.
See you Monday evening!
In Christ’s Love and Grace,
Mark McGee
