Fall Classes Begin in 4 Weeks!

Grace Martial Arts classes for the 2012-2013 school year begin in just 4 weeks – on September 10th. Thanks to donations given to Mission Tampa on behalf of Grace Martial Arts, classes will again be free of charge and all new students will receive a free uniform and school patch. This is a great time to talk to your family, friends and neighbors about learning self defense through training in martial arts.

We will open the doors of the fellowship hall at Seminole Heights Baptist Church, 801 E. Hillsborough Ave. in Tampa, at 5:45pm on Mondays. The first class at 6pm is for families and individuals of all ages. We will again have a special class for children ages 3 – 7 that will emphasize personal safety and self defense. The older children, youth and adults will also learn self defense as they practice techniques from the martial arts of Aikido, Judo, Karate, Kenpo, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, T’ai Chi Ch’uan, and our primary martial art of Yon Ch’uan.

Something new this year will be our Sword School at 6:50pm on Mondays. Since this will be a beginning class in the art of the Japanese Sword, teenagers and adults of any rank are welcome to attend. However, all students in the Sword School class must also attend the 6pm martial arts class. The only required equipment for this beginning class will be a bokken (wooden sword). You can find many choices by searching online or at local martial arts stores. If you have any questions before you purchase a bokken, feel free to email me.

We look forward to the new school year for Grace Martial Arts. One of my greatest joys is being with you on Monday evenings as we practice together.
