My only comment is in the video they turned their backs and walked away. This is not a good defensive position and also it could antagonize the attacker feeling disrespected, not that he deserves any respect, but turning your back he might run after them and catch them off guard.
It would have been better if instead of turning their backs they said “no thank you” offering a polite refusal, rather then turning their back, and then side stepped out into the street and/or even cross the street all the while keeping an eye on the intruder to make sure he does not follow them or run up behind o attack.
Hi, Jeff. The little girls ‘ran’ away. I would never tell them to ‘walk’ away from an attacker for the reasons you stated. I also agree that if the man just talked to the girls, they could be polite and walk on their way. However, in this video the man grabbed one of the girls which is a direct attack. Little girls against grown man. I think their actions were appropriate, but I do appreciate your thoughts on this. Safety for the vulnerable is the key. Thank you.
